Reigning premiers Rup-Minyip will take on in-form outfit Homers at the Horsham City Oval from 11am on Saturday and Sunday.
Both sides have come off of tight wins in the semi-final clashes.
Homers have been leading the way in the league ending it on top of the table, Rup-Minyip finished second.
The two sides most previously met in round 14, the final round of the home and away season.
The Homers came away victorious in that bout, setting up a strong score for Rup-Minyip to chase.
Simon Hopper had one of his best games of the season for Homers taking seven wickets from the losing side.
Homers captain Chris Hopper said his side will be reasonably confident coming into the contest.
“We had a good hit-out in the semi’s which was a good warm-up for the final,” he said.
One key player who could cause problems for Rup-Minyip will be Jarred Combe.
Combe made more than a century in the semi-final clash, single handedly putting the Homers into the two day grand final.
“He should see the ball well,” Hopper said.
“Simon Hopper and Sandy Hodge will be key to our day going the right way being our opening batsmen.”
Craig Britten and Edward Landwehr will be the main players that Hopper will be looking toward to do well with the ball in hand.
“We will have to play a lot better this week than we did last week,” Hopper said.
“It is an evenly matched final and should be a terrific game.”
Rup-Minyip have a well-rounded side with players contributing across the pitch.
A key player with the bat will be Adam Carter, a strong batsman that makes consistent runs every time he steps onto the crease.
Captain Travis Hair will be a player to look out for while the level head of Paul Morgan will be a great asset in the side.
With the ball in hand Clint Midgley has been a stand-out performer in recent weeks taking four wickets in last weekend’s semi-final.
Rup-Minyip captain Travis Hair understands his side are the underdogs coming into the two day grand final.
“Last year we came from fourth and won the whole thing so anything can happen,” he said.
“Homers has a great side but we are also the defending champs so we will play as best we can.”
Hair is hoping the win last week can make the entire side confident this week.
“Hopefully we can get our game together and be competitive at the weekend,” he said.
