Show committee secretary Judith Bysouth said gate takings were way up, by $900, on Saturday.
“It was super. Jams and preserves were up 40 per cent,” she said.
“The shearing competition had a lot more professionals enter, though learners were down.
Natimuk’s Annabella Fort, age 15, won the Victoria Police Award for youth community service and she was also crowned Miss Show Girl.
Rebecca Lear, from Mitre, won the special cake decorating competition to pick a celebration cake to mark the event’s birthday.
A fireworks display capped off the extra-long show.
The fireworks were spectacular,” Ms Bysouth said.
“They went on for 15 minutes and we had a lot of comments that they were the best that people had ever seen.”
Natimuk Primary School students’ artwork was sold off during the show and raised $887 towards upgrading the showground’s pavilion.
The artwork by all the preschool students was sold for the highest amount: $270,” Ms Bysouth said.
