Russian artist Julia Volchkova is in town painting the silos as part of Yarriambiack Shire’s silo art trail.
Melbourne artist Georgia Goodie was assisting her, while also taking on projects of her own.
Goodie painted a mural at Rupanyup Primary School before painting a firefighter in a fire-damaged house.
Her final project in the town is a mural on the old shire offices.
Goodie again paid tribute to firefighters in this artwork.
“This mural is a respectful nod to the work of volunteer firefighters,” she said.
“Rupanyup has unfortunately had its share of house and building fires.”
Goodie said the mural was also about turning something old into something new and embracing change.
She returned to Melbourne this week but said she enjoyed her time in the region.
“Thanks Rupanyup for the kindest hospitality, the experiences, lentils and clean air,” she said.
