The day was a success, according to Wimmera Football League Chief Commissioner Trevor Albrecht.
“It was great, the weather was good, the surface was in top class condition and the number of spectators really did it justice,” he said.
“We were after a gangbuster and we got it. It was above a a home and away game and above a night game. I would say it was similar to a small final.”
Albrecht praised the organisation and thought put into the preparation for the event.
The Warriors served fish and veggie pasties at the canteen.
Albrecht said it will be hosted by Ararat next year.
“We would have had it last year but it was too early in the season,” he said.
