Horsham Greyhound Club received $1000 to donate to the RSL sub-branch of its choice.
The club’s manager Justin Brilliant said it chose to support the Warracknabeal RSL sub-branch.
There will be a presentation night at the Warracknabeal RSL sub-branch on Wednesday.
“The club has a lot of trainers and families (at Warracknabeal) and thought donating the money to a smaller branch would be best,” Brilliant said.
“The larger branches such as Horsham and Ararat have their own way of fundraising with pokies but Warracknabeal doesn’t.
“This will help build our relationship with the smaller branch.”
Brilliant said Greyhound Racing Victoria saw the donations as a way to build connections with rural areas.
