Dimboola resident and retired farmer Keith Elsom searches for student names in 1944 Wallup School photo

DIMBOOLA resident Keith Elsom has appealed to the community for help identifying his classmates from a Wallup School photo from 1944 or 1945.

Mr Elsom, a retired farmer from Wallup, has recently started going through his photo collection and found a snap with no names attached.

“The picture was taken at Wallup School, not East Wallup,” he said.

“I think it was a school sports day and the teacher could have been Mary McIntrye or Roy Rose.”

Mr Elsom is searching for the names of the other students that were picture with himself and his twin brother Ken.

“I’m the one either at the front left or right,” he said.

“I’m getting older and my memory is fading. I hope some other people might be better with names.

“I’d like to get the names written down before I really start to struggle with it.”

Mr Elsom asked anyone who might be able to help to call him on 5389 1962.
