The town came together and rattled their tins to help raise $30,880 for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Appeal coordinator Reg Smith thanked everyone for their donations and said he was extremely appreciative of everyone’s efforts.
"The brigade always welcomes the generosity of the Stawell and district community and I this has continued this year,” he said.
More than $24,000 was raised at last year’s appeal.
“We have raised much more than last year and this is a testament to residents and businesses in town and their generosity,” Mr Smith said.
The cause was close to Mr Smith’s heart after he had two daughters and a grandson who were treated at the Royal Children's Hospital.
“To date, thanks to the generous support of the Stawell community, more than $600,211 has been raised for the Good Friday Appeal,” he said. The Stawell Fire brigade is an authorised collecting agency.
