The Warriors have been touted as early season favourites but Nhill coach Alan Bennett is looking forward to playing them in Nhill.
“I have a lot of respect for Stawell,” he said.
“We have had a few close games them at Davis Park in the past couple of seasons.”
Stawell coach Tom Eckel said the team had enjoyed its long break after a tough first match.
"We are pretty keen to get back into it after some extra training. It was good to have a good week off to rest the body, though,” he said.
"We have been working on our efficiency with our skills on the training track.
“Our delivery into the forward line was not great, so we have tweaked a few things ahead of this weekend.”
Despite a loss in the first round, Stawell is not underestimating Nhill.
Eckel said the Tigers had players they would need to watch out for.
"I think they have a pretty strong midfield,” he said.
“So we are definitely expecting a tough game. We just have to back ourselves in and if we have to worry about one or two of them, then we will when we need to.”
Nhill started strong in the first quarter against Minyip-Murtoa and will look to do so again.
Bennett expects the middle of the ground to be a key battle area.
“Davis Park is a small ground,” he said.
“Stawell have recruited well up forward and Tom Eckel leads a strong midfield group.
“Centre clearances will be vital on Saturday.”
