All games will be played out on Saturday at 1.45pm. 

Laharum versus Natimuk United: 

ARGUABLY the biggest contest of the round, both sides have collected two wins from two games. 

Each team has a strong mid-court and the Mountain Maids have recruited well in the off-season, led by Rebecca McIntyre in the goal circle. 

The Ewes have a strong contingent of long-serving members and can capitalise on that steadiness and chemistry. 

Both have hit the ground running in their respective 2017 campaigns. 

Ewes coach Cheryl Sudholz said her side looked good. 

“We have a change in goalie with Amy Pilgrim coming in as goal attack,” she said. 

“She has come up from B Grade and had a chance to try her out last week against Jeparit-Rainbow. Shannon and her paired up well.” 

Sudholz is wary of the players the Mountain Maids collected. 

“I know they have Bec McIntyre, the McAuliffe girls and (Ally) Hiscock,” she said. “We will just play our own game and see how that goes.

“The game will be won in the mid-court.” 

Sudholz said this game could show where her side needed to develop, regardless of the result.

Southern Mallee Giants versus Harrow-Balmoral: 

THIS could be a surprisingly close game.

The Giants have only won one game this season but will be eager to show up the reigning premier. 

The Roos had been strong winners in the previous two games. The Giants have nothing to lose and have recruited well during the off-season. 

The Roos have a slightly different line-up but have already proven they are a force to be reckoned with. 

Edenhope-Apsley versus Jeparit-Rainbow: 

TWO sides eager to get the points on the board will be the Saints and the Storm. 

Storm opened with two tough games against finals sides in the Giants and the Ewes. 

The Saints went through a reshuffling process with Leonie Lang at the helm. 

Alex Lang had been in good form for the side and could be the deciding factor in the game.

If the Van Dyk girls are available, they will go a long way in helping the Saints collect another four points.

Rupanyup versus Kalkee: 

THE Panthers will be confident in taking another four points after its home win against the Lakers in round two, while the Kees need a win after two tough games.

Pimpinio versus Swifts: 

THIS contest could go either way. The Tigers had been hammered in the opening two games while the Swifts were slogged by the Mountain Maids. 

Noradjuha-Quantong versus Taylors Lake: 

THIS could go just one way. The Bombers have already been impressive this season while the Lakers need some more time together. It’s Lakers recruit Sammi Apostolopoulos’ first outing against her former side.
