Horsham Highway Patrol Sergeant Leigh Creasey said police were relatively happy with the results and pleased no serious crashes occurred.
Sergeant Creasey said while some people think the operation was about catching wrong-doers, it was really about safety.
“For us in the Horsham area it was successful we had no major serious injury collision and no fatalities,” he said.
“That’s always good – it’s the aim, it’s not about giving out tickets it’s about preventing death and injury.”
Statewide operation results weren’t as positive with 12 people dying on the roads during the 13 day operation which ran from Easter Thursday to Anzac day.
Road Policing Command Acting Deputy Commissioner Doug Fryer said the number of people killed on the roads during the operation was unacceptable and terribly sad.
“As the operation came to a close last night, 12 families went to bed mourning the loss of one of their own with their lives changed forever,” he said.
In the Horsham police service area, three disqualified or suspended drivers were detected, 121 speeding offences occurred and seven unregistered vehicles were detected.
Nine people were caught driving unlicenced and four caught disobeying signs or signals.
In the Northern Grampians police service area one car was impounded, four disqualified or suspended drivers detected and eight unlicensed drivers detected.
