THE Eagles were out to prove a point in round three after two opening fixture losses.
From the start of the contest the Eagles were on top of the Saints.
The side led 2.0 (12) to 1.3 (9) after the first term.
It was much of the same at the main break and the Eagles led by eight points.
The Saints fought back and established a lead at the end of the third but couldn’t hold on, with the Eagles managing three majors and six minors in the final.

AFTER an important win against the Eagles in round two, the Cougars were full of confidence coming into round three.
The side wasn’t in the lead after the first term but led at the main break 6.6 (42) to 4.9 (33). This lead did not stick with the Blues outclassing the Cougars.
