The team missed out on making the final by less than one per cent and showed lots of skill and endeavour during the day.
In the first match, Mininera lost to Portland 1.5.11 to 2.3.15 after a goal right on the siren gave Portland the points.
Mininera were a lot more potent up forward in the second match, having 15 scoring shots and slamming through seven goals to easily account for Hamilton 1 team 7.8.50 to 2.1.13.
In the final round robin game, the Mininera team notched up another win, this time against Hamilton 2 scoring 4.5.29 to 4.2.26 to leave it with two wins and a four-point loss.
The team performed admirably across all three matches and learned a lot from each of the games.
Coach Mick Jennings said the players should be very proud of their efforts representing the league.
