Horsham’s Goodstart Early Learning Centre director Mel Roberts said there was a young boy at the kindergarten who had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
“He and his family are now down at the Royal Children’s Hospital, where they will be for about the next 12 months,” she said.
“We thought, while there is not much we can do to help, we would have a market to raise some money for the family.
“The community can also come through the kindergarten and have a look at what we do.”
The market fundraiser will be on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
“There will be a car boot sale, some party-plan stalls, a barbecue, bake sales and children’s activities,” Ms Roberts said.
“It is open to anyone who wants to come along.”
Ms Roberts said the fundraiser would be at the kindergarten in Maddern Street, Horsham.
