The Storm has improved in their new style in the early weeks of the season and will look to this game as a chance to gain their fifth win in 2017.
This will also be an option for the Storm to gain more ground on the front-runners of the league, with Southern Mallee and Swifts facing off in the same round.
The Panthers, on the other hand, last recorded a win in round two when they defeated Taylors Lake by 69 points.
Rupanyup has been lacking potency up forward and has scored the least number of points of any team, with 290 from five games.
Several silver linings are shining through. Assistant coach Zack May said the youngsters have stepped up.
“Tyler May has been playing really well and Dave Horvat has been, too,” he said.
“It’s just lapses of concentration (that is the biggest issue) with us.”
The side gave Blake Turner his senior debut last week and at just age 14, May said it was great to see him make an impact.
“These kids will be the future of the club,” he said.
“Our goal isn’t for immediate success, it is a four- or five-year plan for us.”
The Storm is sitting comfortably in fourth place on the ladder while the Panthers are ninth.
Heath Clugston has hit some form and has been named among the best players two games in a row for the Storm.
