The project is supported by local visual artist Anthony Pelchen, dance artist Amy Anselmi and videographic artist David Bowe, and Arts Access Victoria artist Rhian Hinkley.
Mr Pelchen said the group has been hard at work since March.
“They have done a great job transforming ordinary industrial pallets into personal islands that reflect their imagination and most prized ideas,” said Mr Pelchen.
It is the first time Rhian Hinkley will be joining the group with his Camera Obscura practice.
Horsham Rural City Council’s Cultural Development Officer, Jillian Pearce, said Rhian will capture the islands on film via wheelie bins that have been transformed into cameras.
“Members of the public may see the group out and about with the wheelie bin cameras throughout the festival,” said Ms Pearce.
‘The Island’ launch is open to the public at Jubilee Hall and will be open daily from Tuesday to Friday between noon and 2pm.
