“To have hope again after such a long time, I can’t describe it,” she said.

For the past three years Mrs Tyler, 39, has been stuck in bed or on the couch.

At 35, she was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). 

Her immune system was fighting to destroy her internal organs, skin, joints, spine and tissue.

With the help of personal donations and crowd funding, she was able to travel to Queensland with her husband Jeremy this month for treatment.

Mrs Tyler had been hoping for a 50 per cent improvement, but a few days after the procedure, where her bone-marrow is removed, treated and replanted, she went for a 13-kilometre walk.

Previously, she had struggled to walk around her house.

“The results have been absolutely amazing,” Mrs Tyler said.

“With the peptides and supplements I started, they actually reduced all my arthritis.

“Even prior to going in for the stem cells, I had a big improvement with the pre-treatment.”

Mrs Tyler said the procedure had worked magic.

“So far, I am a totally different person to nine weeks ago,” she said.

“For three years I was on the couch. I was struggling to do anything. The fatigue and pain never gave in.

“The only way I got out of the house was to prepare for two days and fill myself with steroids. When people saw me out and about they didn’t release that I had prepared for days to reduce the swelling.”

Mrs Tyler said she stared to notice a change three days after the stem cell procedure, which is also used on Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis (MS).

Donors raised more than $8500 to help get the treatment.

Mrs Tyler said he was extremely grateful to the people who donated and was touched by the get well cards and gifts.

“I’ve been trying to message as many people as I can and provide Facebook updates,” she said.
