The team this year includes year nine students Pippa Munn, Jeremey Pearson and Gabby Hodges.
Teacher David Staehr said the students had decided on a design and were waiting for materials to be delivered.
“There’s a digital component this year and students are working on a 3D model of the bridge to be submitted before the competition,” he said.
Mr Staehr said the competition was completely different and it was great for students to be encouraged to excel in academics rather than just sport.
“Kaniva College have won nine years in a row and this year we are going for our 10th win,” he said.
