The Rats got off to a strong start with a 17-goal opening quarter to start the second term with a nine-goal lead.
The visitors were able to continue the scoring in the second quarter while restricting the home team to just 11 goals the lead to 12 at half time. Ararat upped the ante in the third and nearly repeated their first quarter efforts, netting 16 goals to ensure the Tigers were unlikely to come back. A 47-27 scoreboard at the final break turned into a full time score of 60-36. The win moves Ararat into fifth, ahead of Horsham Saints and Nhill on percentage.
