Dimboola coach Ant Toet said it would be a test for the players this week.
“Last time we played there was only one quarter where we let slip,” she said.
“We have had some good tussles against Warrack, but I guess it comes down to who comes out on top on the day.”
Dimboola will face the Eagles with a full team
With Sarah Spicer out for the season, Warrack Eagles coach Jane Richardson said they were still searching for their best combination in attack.
“We need to find a way to have some more speed around the goal ring,” she said.
Toet said last week against Minyip Murtoa the girls played a good first half, but struggled for consistency and were blown away in the second.
“We want to make sure we play four full quarters and not fade out,” she said.
Richardson also points to consistency to improve the Eagles’ game.
“We had a couple of good quarters against Horsham, but we still need to find a way to put in a full performance. It’s about being more consistent across four quarters,” she said.
Toet said Dimboola would concentrate on improving their own performance on Saturday.
“We have had some girls that returned this year after having their babies, but they have hit the court really well and have gel with the younger players,” she said.
Now halfway through the season, Toet said she hoped the team could concentrate on lifting their game.
“Warrack aren’t in the top three for nothing, so we are hoping to string together some solid performances throughout the game,” she said.
Richardson said the Eagles were looking for different game plans to up their performance.
“It’s good to have tall options in our attack and around our ring, but sometimes you need something different,” she said.
“Moving Zandria Malone in there is another option we have up our sleeve.”
Ararat v Stawell
WITHOUT a win this season, Stawell is fighting for a win on the board.
Although Ararat is fifth on the ladder, they could be in with a chance to steal those four points.
Nhill v Minyip-Murtoa
STILL looking to break into the top five, Nhill will struggle to grab the points from Minyip-Murtoa that it needs to knock Ararat from its ranks.
Minyip-Murtoa is fighting for wins to keep up with the Horsham Demons.
Horsham Saints v Horsham Demons
HORSHAM Demons are expecting to keep their undefeated streak.
The Saints are looking to break into the top five.
A win is unlikely with strong Horsham players throughout the court ready to upset.
The Demons will play all out to stay strong all the way to the finals.
