Horsham will host fourth-placed Forest Rangers at the city’s Dudley Cornell Park on Sunday. 

Forest Rangers is five points behind Horsham. 

The last time the two sides played was in a pre-season friendly, Horsham, a side that was newly formed at the time, won 2-1. 

The Falcons have been blessed by good fortune after having two consecutive weeks off, which has brought several players back into the squad after sustaining injuries early in the season. 

Central defender Dar Eh Ferraira returns from a broken ankle in pre-season and looked strong at training on Wednesday. 

Defender Nathan Sonnberger returns from a pulled hamstring and is easing back into the work load.

Jason Wilksch is set to re-join the senior outfit when he returns home from America and will play from June 30. 

Horsham is eager to gain some breathing space on the league table with a win against one of the front-runners of the competition. 

The Rangers have struggled in recent weeks with serious injury concerns. 

Horsham will be at full strength and will play its continued, free-flowing, attacking style of play. 

The young side has been working tirelessly on quick counter-attacking moves in a small area.  

Decision making has improved for the likes of full-back and winger Marcus Luciani and midfielder Beesee Mawkay. Captain and forward Jake Hinton has been in sensational form and has scored seven goals in his past two games. 

Hinton will be sought after for not just scoring goals but creating chances for fellow team-members Toby Riddell-Both and Noah Talbot. 

Hard-working midfielder Reuben Macchia has continued to be one of the side’s mainstays and has been involved in several key plays. 

James Hibberd has been playing well next to the young Jonah Dickinson in the heart of the defence.

The veteran of the side has been helping the young 16-year-old become a strong asset for the club.  

The team will line-up with a sense to not only shut-out the opposition but to score as much as possible to close the goal-difference gap between Horsham and Sebastopol. 

Horsham is second while Sebastopol is first with three points more than the Falcons and a 16-goal advantage on goal difference. 

The mid-field trio of Reuben Macchia, Elijah Macchia and Yohana Bimenyimana will be the deciding factor in the contest.
