The side set the game up with a strong first half before ending comfortable 15.4 (94) to 6.10 (46) winners.
Stawell coach Tom Eckel said it was always good to get the win against Ararat.
“It was another step closer to where we want to be,” he said.
“We played some good footy in patches but we still need to work on not having lapses. It’s a tough thing to work on because it’s all mental for us.”
David Andrivon led the way for the Warriors. The big forward kicked seven goals straight. Jesse Galea-Portelli was strong at the other end of the ground.
“His effort each week is great,” Eckel said. “He’s just tough at the football and he beats whoever he plays on. He plays very calm and controlled.”
Stawell has faced plenty of injury concerns so far this season. The side still had five players out of its best 22 unavailable on Saturday.
