Walker was set to compete in the semi finals of the scooter best tricks event after receiving a wildcard.
Two days before his event, Walker came off his scooter in a practice session, injuring the AC joint in his shoulder.
Despite being in pain, Walker remained resolute, strapping his shoulder to allow him to compete.
Doctors cleared him to continue in the competition following the fall.
In a final practice session before the semi finals, Walker completed two full runs of the course before falling from his scooter on his third run.
Walker knocked himself out from the fall, with officials ruling him out of the competition due to a concussion.
“I was pretty shattered,” he said.
“I am so happy that I made it there and that I was given the opportunity to compete.
“Next year will be my year.”
Australian Ryan Williams was the eventual winner of the scooter best tricks event.
Walker said he has no regrets about his preparation.
“It was just bad luck what happened,” he said.
Walker will continue to compete in competitions as well as teaching kids across the United States about scooters.
Walker will fly to the Cayman Islands in a few weeks time, where he will promote his sponsor, Havoc Scooters, while running clinics.
