Head of Junior School Fiona Friberg said arts week gave students something to look forward to at the end of term.
“Over three days all students participated in Bollywood dance workshops, which culminated into a showcase,” she said.
Ms Friberg said the students enthusiasm was contagious.
“It was delightful to see them embrace the different culture,” she said.
School captains Tyge Nelson and Bethany Breur said they enjoyed learning the culture and different festivals in India.
“We told the story of the Festival of Kites, which is held every year when the wind picks up and people will climb up on to their roofs and fly kites,” said Bethany.
Ms Friberg said each dance helped build cultural awareness and appreciation.
The Holy Trinity Lutheran School had the visiting art program BluGuru teach the students Bollywood dancing.
