Just one player in the Wimmera league managed to throw a cap on the maximum votes when Stawell and Horsham met on Saturday. Warriors’ stalwart James Delahunty collected the nine votes when his side fell to the Demons. 

Horsham Saints’ Samuel Clyne remains at the top of the leaderboard after grabbing six votes when his side was defeated by Minyip-Murtoa. Clyne maintains a three-vote buffer ahead of the second-placed Billy Hayes. Jacob O’Beirne is a further 10 votes back in third place.

Todd Heynen has moved into the outright lead in the race to win Horsham District’s champion footballer award. Heynen was awarded five votes in his side’s loss to Southern Mallee.

Jye Smith was catapulted up the leaderborad with a perfect nine vote game for Taylors Lake. He sits two voted behind Heynen on 70 votes alongside Laharum’s Robert Miller who also polled nine votes.

Jason Kerr did not poll in round 11 and remains on 67 votes after sharing the lead with Heynen last round.

Natimuk United’s Callum Cameron also picked up nine votes in his side’s win against Taylors Lake, making it a rare occasion where to players received maximum votes in the same game.

With general byes in both leagues coming up the leaders can enjoy their time on top of the tallies for an extra week before Wimmera League team play round 11 and the Horsham District side gear up for round 12.
