Police uncover ice during late-night vehicle search

STAWELL police have nabbed a Woodend man with .6 grams of crystal methamphetamine after stopping his dual-cab ute on the Western Highway at 12.30am on Friday.

The man, 47, was taken to Stawell Police Station and was released on bail to appear in court in September.

Sergeant Bryan Anderson warned people that police would be actively tracking down people in possession of illicit drugs.

“Drug use is just as dangerous as driving with alcohol – it affects your judgement in a bad way,” he said.
