The Southern Roos stunned the Kees in round one, recording a 136-point victory.
Kalkee coach Hamish Exell said his team did things differently during the week off.
“It was a bit of a disappointing game against the Swifts (last round),” he said.
“We did a bit more bonding after that, we made sure we caught up regularly, stuck around after training and had a meal. We made sure the guys had some time to reflect on the season.”
