Mr Arnts will share his knowledge about the benefits of bees and how people can ensure a bee friendly garden year round.
It comes after world bee populations continue to decrease. In 2016 the parasitic Varroa mite, responsible for killing honey bees overseas, arrived in Australia.
Stawell Community Garden member Julie Andrew said it was vital the bees survived.
“Most of our food plants, fruit, vegetables, nuts and pulses rely on the European honey bee for pollination,” she said.
The workshop is on Sunday at 2pm at Stawell Neighbourhood House; entry is by gold coin donation and bookings via 5358 3500.
