The teams will face off in what has become a much anticipated occasion for both clubs.
“We are honoured to be able to play in a game such as this,” Swifts coach Scott Carey said.
“As a coach and a club it is great to have started a tradition with them (Taylors Lake).”
Swifts Indigenous player Jake Goodes said it is “excellent” how both clubs have supported the game.
“It is great to play in the Indigenous round to bring everyone together, educate people and celebrate our culture,” he said.
The game comes after a week off for both sides. Carey said the break was much needed, but they will be cautious of being sluggish.
“The week off worked really well for us. It is always good to get time off to rejuvenate at this time of the year,” he said.
“We definitely don’t want to start slow no matter who we are playing.
“Although they are having a tough year and are rebuilding, we need to make sure we don’t give them a head start.”
The Baggies came away with a 117-point victory when the sides last met in round one earlier in the year. The Lakers have won only one game this season.
A win on the weekend will nearly guarantee a return to the finals for Swifts, its first senior finals appearance since 2014.
