Halfway through the season Tom shifted into the forward line for the Demons and hasn’t looked back with several strong performances and a winner against West Coast Eagles in round 14.
The brothers’ father Paul McDonald said it was nice to see his son get the sealer.
“He’s been taking to the forward-line well,” he said.
“It’s exciting seeing Tom kick goals.”
In the game against the Eagles, Tom scored five goals, a career high for the versatile leader.
Oscar had his best statistical game of his career against the Western Bulldogs in round 13, with Melbourne winning 113-56.
In the game he collected 23 disposals, 17 kicks and 12 marks – all career high achievements.
“Oscar has stepped up this season, he has been solid in defence and always seems to come out on top,” Paul said.
“He’s playing some positive footy.”
