I’m thinking of ordering a shipping container of tissues directly from the manufacturer to my door.

This would save me time and money running to the supermarket.
Actually, I should make only half the load tissues and fill the other half of the cargo hold with various medications that combat runny and blocked noses, sore throats and chesty coughs.
Coughs do seem to be chesty don’t they, not mouthy or throaty, always chesty.
Even if a cough starts as a tickly cough, it always becomes chesty anyway, right?
All the coughs at my house this week are definitely chesty.
The term “coughing up a lung” has frequently come to mind.
My husband is currently choking on a very harsh bark as I type. He’s not feeling well.
So inexperienced is he with ill health that he lives under the illusion that sucking on a Soothers cough lolly will cure all his symptoms.
At this stage, I am practically force feeding him the hard stuff that comes with instructions about how many days you can use them before you are classified as an addict.
In sickness and in health – we both promised – so we are sticking by it.
Speaking of sticking, our honey jar was in and out of the pantry so many times – with me making hot honey and lemon drinks in the wee smalls – that it got put away with a loose lid, was tipped over, and I had to clean it up.
This sweet surprise greeted me one sleep-deprived morning.
I’d been awake most of the night listening to Yasinta cough until she was nearly sick, worried about pneumonia and holes in lungs.
I think it was a mild case of post-traumatic stress syndrome from seven years ago when Yasinta had pneumonia and a hole in her lungs.
That air ambulance flight, surgery and week in the Royal Children’s Hospital were illuminating though.
Seven years on, it’s still a bit hard to sleep through the coughing.
Now that all four of my immediate family are causing a cacophony, I am feeling the strain and seriously considering a night in the caravan to get a good sleep.
It’s cold out there though, so earplugs might be just what the doctor ordered.
