The Grasshoppers were unable to capitalise on early leads, falling short in the end as the Eagles came out with a memorable 50-49 victory.
Navarre looked to be in control in the first quarter, leading 13-8 at the first break and shooting the ball at more than 60 per cent accuracy.
The Eagles were able to cut the deficit in the second term, but still trailed by four going into half time.
Seventeen third-quarter goals from best on court player Jayde Ilsley saw Navarre’s lead vanish, with the sides unable to be separated at the final break.
The Grasshoppers pushed Georgia Bibby into goal shooter to give them a spark, but Dunolly were able clinch a vital win over the reigning premiers.
Jenna Bywaters was Navarre’s best player, shooting 27 goals from 38 attempts.
The loss sees Navarre drop to eighth place with a spot in the finals on the line in the remaining four games.
