The Pumas got the jump on the Eagles on their home ground and piled on six goals in the first term and looked comfortable from there on.
From quarter time onwards, the Eagles were able to match the Pumas in much of the game with a percentage boost looking unlikely for the Pumas at the main break, leading by just 36 points.
A seven goals to four second half sealed the 16.14.110 to 7.13.55 win for the Pumas.
Rhys Cronin kicked four goals for the Pumas while Aaron Pianta and Aaron Byron scored three each.
For the Eagles, John Cunningham was the only multiple goalscorer with two. Zac Jenkins and Jeremy Cronin were named best on ground.
