Their activities and exercises on Thursday last week all centered around the number 100.
“It was a multi-age event and involved the preps right through to the grade sixes,” teacher Miranda Fortune said.
“All the kids enjoyed different activities that all had to do with the number 100.”
Students were engaged in activities such as counting 100 steps and measuring how many sit-ups they could do in 100 seconds.
Some counted how many star-jumps they could do in 100 seconds, while others tackled hula-hoops to see who could last 100 seconds.
“The school planned the event as a whole mathematics focus,” Ms Fortune said.
“It is the first time the school has done something like this and the kids really loved it. It was also a great opportunity for the kids to mix with other students of different ages and also to mix with different teachers.”
Ms Fortune said students had already started asking about plans for a repeat of the activities.
