It comes after a mystery illness prevented Rylan from being discharged at an earlier date.
But Rylan’s levels improved overnight on July 13 and was told by hospital staff he could return to Stawell on the weekend.
Rylan’s mother Narelle Smith wrote on a Facebook Page, Rylans war on leukaemia, he has had a “nice and quiet” week at home so far.
“He has been spending a lot of time enjoying his soft bed at home,” she said.
“Rylans Aunt Sophie gave him a tidy up trim, so now he is all set for when he returns to school in a week or two.”
Rylan was also able to be present for his older brother, who turned 13 on Friday, July 21.
“He is Loving being home and close to our family,” Ms Smith said.
“We are missing the wonderful families we were lucky to have gotten close to during our time at the Ronnie Mac house and hoping that it will be their own home time soon.”
