Style for Life encouraged hair salons nation-wide to give their time and donate proceeds to Hagar, who works to restore the lives of survivors of human right abuse in Cambodia, Afghanistan and Vietnam.
Hairdresser Millicent Papst said it was an “amazing opportunity” to help women and children affected.
“It is the little things we do that can make a big difference in the world, so taking part in Style for Life was a no-brainer,” she said.
Miss Papst said D’Coco Hair Studio would have five hairdressers offering haircuts and blow-drys.
“We have received a lot of interest so far – especially from mums and daughters,” she said.
Miss Papst said all profits raised would be donated to Hagar. She said appointments were still available; people can phone 5382 2288.
