Residents of Donald, Wycheproof, Birchip, St Arnaud and Charlton will receive a visit from the clinic during August.
The clinic will visit Wycheproof and Donald until Friday, August 18.
Birchip is its last stop in the region and the clinic is taking appointments between Monday, August 14 and Friday, August 25.
The clinic has already treated people at St Arnaud and Charlton.
The flying doctor service’s Victoria general manager primary health care Margaret Kuhne said the organisation believed oral health was linked to overall health – and it was essential to provide these services to residents.
“Unfortunately, there are three times fewer dentists in remote and rural Australia,” she said.
“In fact, on average patients in the east Wimmera region have an 84-kilometre round trip to the nearest public dentist.”
The clinic’s last visit to the region was in August 2016.
It provided its services to 182 patients.
The clinic offered health promotion, screening and much-needed treatment services to rural locations throughout Victoria.
More than 1600 patients have received treatment at more than 28 locations since the launch in January last year.
Almost half of those screened by the dental clinic required further treatment for oral conditions.
The service is free for children up to 18 years and adults who meet eligibility criteria.
Ms Kuhne said people could contact the dental team on 8412 0444 for more information, or to make an appointment.
