THE MALLEE Machinery Field Days relies on the help of volunteers each year.
More than 20 community and sporting groups helped out at the event by cooking a barbecue, selling drinks or parking cards.
Ultima Lions Club member Athol Ingram said the group sold hot dogs at the field days as a fundraiser.
“We were very busy,” he said.
“The weather was warm so even in the morning, people were coming by.
“People must have had a good appetite or they must have been good hot dogs.”
Mr Ingram said the club received payment from the Speed Lions Club to run the food stand.
“There are four of us who volunteer and all the equipment and food is supplied by the Speed club,” he said.
“We just have to supply the manpower for the two days.
“Then at the end, we get money from the club.”
Mr Ingram said the money raised at the field days would help keep the Ultima Lions Club going and be put back into the community.
