The Bombers won the game 54 to the Lakers’ 21.
Bombers co-coach Yolanda Molineaux said the game was played in trying conditions.
“It started raining as soon as we began,” she said.
“We’re quite a fast-paced side, so we had to adapt to that.
“We just slowed our game down in the mid-court.”
By halftime the Bombers had a 21-point buffer.
Molineaux said Lucy Brand had a strong game.
“She changed her game a bit,” she said. “She’s still only young and to be able to take it upon herself to change her own style dues to the conditions showed she is maturing through the season.”
Bombers co-coach Sharon Fedke was absent from the line-up which paved the way for young Abby Hallam to step in as the goal shooter.
“We decided to give her a full game because she definitely deserved it and she played a great game,” Molineaux said.
“Our defensive pressure was good.”
On her 250th club game for the Bombers Georgia Francis played in goal shooter for the final quarter.
Goal defender and goal keeper Brooke Pay was named best on court for the Bombers with Brand named second best on the court, she scored 36 goals.
Grace Dixon was named best on court for the Lakers.
