The cup is being played in Lebanon.
The Boomers stood tall and recorded a powerful win of 84-68 in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Creek played more than 23 minutes after being named among the Australian starting five.
“(It’s something) that I'll never ever forget. Hearing the anthem literally made me tear up, it was so amazing,” he said.
He made the most of his time on court to put up 10 points, grab six boards, three assists and a single steal in the opener.
“For the first half I was so nervous but settled in and found a good rhythm,” he said.
Creek shot at 62.5 per cent.
He said it was a good hit-out.
“They came out shooting the ball very well but we just settled, and stuck to our processes and grounded out a gutsy win,” Creek said.
