The health care group’s director of clinical services Don McRae said people working in the aged care sector deserved recognition for their efforts.
“Aged care workers are a tireless bunch,” Mr McRae said.
“There are no doubt easier ways to make a living, but very few are more rewarding.”
The Celebrating Aged Care awards had winners in three categories including passion, leadership and volunteer.

Mr Mark was the winner of the leadership category.
His nomination came from his work colleagues at the health care group.
The award finalists included aged care workers across Victoria – from Bairnsdale, Benalla, Echuca, Lorne and Maldon.
The awards night was hosted during Celebrating Aged Week – from August 14 to 18.
The Celebrating Aged Care week campaign acknowledged the contributions of aged care workers and showcased the opportunities of Victoria’s thousands of aged care workers.
