A visit to Woomelang CWA's flower show on October 16 is also planned.
Jenni Turnbull reported on CWA Victoria’s state exhibition held at Warrnambool, with many winners of various sections from neighbouring group West Wimmera. CWA Victoria will be working at the Royal Melbourne Show from September 23 to October 3 and asks members to help if, and when, they are able. Jenni advised members that the 2018 CWA Victoria conference will be held at the Williamstown Hall.
Members allotted funds to various CWA activities. Members donated knitted goods; one knee rug; four sets of jumpers, beanies and socks and 11 beanies to Bendigo craft group.
The annual meeting will be held on October 26, at the Beulah Hotel, starting with the general meeting at 10am, followed by lunch and the AGM.
At the meeting on September 21, which starts at 1.30pm, the competition is an article relating to Father's Day; cooking, savouries using eggs.
Competitions results: flowers, Gwen George, Betty Turnbull, Valda Hunter; cooking, iced butter cake: Valda Hunter and Gwen George; something I have made during the year, Edna Shannon, Gwen George, Valda Hunter.

Willenabrina branch members had an interesting and enjoyable social afternoon with several visitors attending and catching up with members and other friends.
The guest speaker was Horsham Waste Busters’ Mick Morris who presented an informative talk on all kinds of treatments for recycling of waste.
Members extend an invitation to anyone who would like to join this CWA branch for a cuppa. The branch meets at 1.30pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the fire brigade meeting room.

West Wimmera group branches and members are reminded that the cooking competition, featuring food from five different countries, is on September 4 at Dimboola.
