He visits Stawell and Horsham on a regular basis, saving patients from making long trips to Ballarat for appointments and treatment.
One of Professor Kannourakis’s passions is the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
Pomonal Progress Association is running a raffle to support this organisation.
A beautiful crocheted, queen-sized, pure wool baroque bedspread is being raffled at $2 a ticket and tickets are available at the Pomonal Market this Sunday at the Pomonal community stall.
The market runs from 10am to 2pm and will include plants, books, craft, jewellery, produce, clothing, food and more.
People can indulge in morning tea or a light lunch and enjoy watching the kangaroos on the oval.
Organisers said people who couldn’t make the market but wanted to buy a ticket in the raffle could contact Linda via dlhandscombe@bigpond.com or by phoning 0407 700 843.
