The game will be played at Morshead Park in Ballarat on Saturday at 3.45pm.
It has been a tough second half of the season for the Falcons, who have only played four games in 10 weeks due to forfeits and several round byes.
The last time the two teams played, the Vultures defeated the Falcons 3-0 in round 16.
Earlier in the season, in round five, the Falcons won 6-2 against the Vultures.
Young Falcons coach Elijah Macchia will be missing from the line-up while formidable striker and wing man Noah Talbot will be absent from the team sheet due to sickness.
The semi-final will be played on a larger synthetic pitch which will suit the Falcon team who plays strong in possession and has a good level of fitness.
If they can play the ball around and make good use of their chances, they will go a long way to winning their first finals game.
The Vultures have an interesting style of football where they sit their back-line high and constantly press their oppositions back-line.
It can be expected that they may change their style on the bigger pitch and sit deep to combat over-the-top balls.
Several Falcon players will need to step up for the finals game with Macchia and Talbot missing.
Captain Jake Hinton will need to get back onto the score sheet after being absent from it for several games.
Hinton was the leading goalscorer in the league after 10 games but due to the Horsham outfits lack of matches he has now sunk down to third with 17 goals.
In the absence of Macchia in the back line Jonah Dickinson will have big shoes to fill, he has missed the last two games for the blue and white and will be thrown into the deep end on Saturday.
This could be reliable full back Marcus Luciani’s time to shine, he has had a consistent year in 2017 but may need to really stand up and do something special in the upcoming match-up.
Yohana Beminyemana will also be a decisive player for the team, he provides a lot of experience and will give the small stature team a bigger body in the midfield.
Expect the Falcons to attempt to be patient with the ball at their feet and not force the attack, they will need to suck opposition players out of position on this large pitch to make use of the space.
The Falcons will need to be tight on Fintan Farrell who scored four goals in his last outing for the Vultures.
Horsham’s under-15 side will play their first semi final at Morsehead Park at 10.45am on Saturday.
