The Warrack Eagles managed to prolong their season by outlasting the Horsham Saints in the B Grade first semi-final.
The Eagles side trailed by a goal at quarter time but then stepped it up during the second quarter before going on to win 48-38.
Wing defence Kiarna Taylor was best on court for the winning side while Megan Pryor managed to put in 30 goals. Skye Davis was best on court for the Saints.
Minyip-Murtoa led from start to finished against the Horsham Demons in C Grade.
The Burras had won all three encounters between the sides during the regular season and came up with the goods again to record the 37-28 win.
Dimboola’s 17 and under season will last for at least one more season after the side managed to get over the line against Ararat. It was a tightly contested match but the Roos ultimately secured spot in the preliminary final with a 56-50 win.
A big second quarter set up a Horsham Demons win in the 15 and under first semi-final. Scores were locked at 10-all after the first quarter off play before the Demons outscored Stawell by six goals in the second.
It was a lead which ultimately carried the Demons into the preliminary final as the side won 36-31.
A winning second quarter also played a big part as the Horsham Saints eliminated Nhill in the 13 and under game.
The Saints played a strong game to win 27-19.
