Christian said it was a “tremendous honour” to become a life member.
“It’s doing something you love every weekend,” he said.
Christian has been a loyal servant of the club for 20 years, starting his involvement as a member of Kalkee’s inaugural under 16 team in 1999.
He said comradery was a big factor in staying involved.
“My children are coming through now and loving Auskick,” he said. “It’s really become a family affair.”
In the small community of Kalkee the football and netball club continues to play a vital role.
“It’s incredibly important for the locals that live out there,” Christian said.
“It’s their break away from work and a chance to come together.”
Christian has played more than 300 games for Kalkee and his career highlights include five premierships as well as a senior best-and-fairest award to his name.
