Great Western hosted its junior best and fairest presentations to cap off a strong season on Sunday.

Tom Robuinson topped the votes in the under-16.5 best and fairest to claim the award ahead of Jackson Thomas and Sean Moran who tied in second place.

Harvey Evans developed his game significantly this year and was presented with the most consistent player award as a result.

Chloe Graham was awarded the 17 and under best and fairest while sister Sophie was runner-up.

The 15 and under netball best and fairest went to Inika Shalders ahead of Macey Hurley who finished in second place.

Elyza Gooden was named the junior club person for the season.

Great Western Football Netball Club Secretary Danny Hoare said it was a strong season for the junior teams.

“We are really pleased with what is happening in our junior structure and we are looking forward to the future,” he said.

“The 13 and under netball team were great, they do not have a finals structure but they did really well.

“Our under-12 football numbers have improved, all up we are really happy and we have plenty to build on in the years to come.

“The coaches do a great job with the kids and work hard, teaching them new skills during the season.”
