The Bombers beat the Southern Mallee Giants 41-31.
The match was close early, with only three goals separating the teams at the first change.
However the second quarter was where the damage was done.
The Bombers extended their lead, while limiting the Giants’ opportunities.
The Bombers put up about double the amount of shots in that quarter, and converted well to lead by 10 at the main break.
Basic errors let the Giants down early in the third quarter, with stepping and poor passes allowing the Bombers to intercept, and then capitalise through the accurate shooting of captain Kahlee Martin.
Her connection with goal shooter Breanna Sinclair caused headaches for the Giants defenders.
The Bombers didn’t have it all their own way however, with some turnovers in the midcourt costing them.
In the fourth quarter the Bombers were able to again extend their lead, and never looked in danger of losing.
The win is the Bombers’ third premiership in a row.
Martin was named best on court for the match.
