Paul Creek, Geoff Greenaway, Michael Bond, Graeme Using and Mark ‘Mav’ Cottrell form the five-man team called ‘Munted’.
The 24-hour race is at Ipswich Raceway in Queensland.
The format is two race days with up to 10 hours during each day of racing.
There are multiple requirements for the endurance sport. One major requirement is the cars must not be worth more than $999. This cost does not include driver safety, comfort and information.
LeMons cars must be fitted with roll cages, race seats and race harnesses.
The last time ‘Munted’ raced at the event was at Wakefield Park Raceway in New South Wales in 2016.
The team completed 555 laps during 16 hours of racing with a total of 1221 kilometres. The team placed 24th overall.
Munted won the Battlers Award – an award decided by the organisers for the team that showed the most heart.
