THE fifth annual Great Wimmera River Duck Race is fast approaching with tickets now on sale.

This year 2000 ducks will take to the water for the annual Wimmera Health Care Group Foundation fundraiser on November 25.

Member for Lowan Emma Kealy bought the first duck this year for $1000. She said she was very honoured to be the number one ticket holder.

“It is my own personal contribution. I believe in the work the foundation does in improving health services in our region,” she said.

Ms Kealy said the duck race was a wonderful fundraiser and encouraged the community to buy their duck.

She said ducks could also be bought for $5 each at baa3400, Café Jas, Exquisit, Hillross, Horsham International Hotel and Horsham Plaza.

The race is part of the annual Kannamaroo festival.
