Mr Combe was awarded South West TAFE’s apprentice of the year and the Brian Crichton memorial award.
He said it was a great honour to be recognised for his hard work during the apprenticeship.
“Winning these awards was not something that I had set out to do,” he said.
“Now that I have been awarded apprentice of the year and the Brian Crichton memorial award, I see it as a great achievement that I can look back on later in my career.”
Mr Combe said the nominations came from his teachers. He said he was grateful to be considered the best apprentice in his year.
Mr Combe is a fully qualified plumber working at Laser Plumbing.
He said working at Laser was a great opportunity and a chance to expand his skills in different styles of plumbing.
